Happy new year! We
held the energy of 2009 until its final moment and now it is over. The
2010 predictions are now up and you can read them here. This month's article
is entitled From
Control to Surrender to Control. Our lifetime path is
really a battle of control, between the ego and spirit, between what we
want and what we actually receive, the desire to be in the third
dimension and the promise of ascension. Before we can embrace
ascension we need to release every energy that blocks it and our most
challenging use of our energy is by being passive aggressive. Can this

Passive Aggressive Control
When
going from control to surrender, we struggle with how to release our
need to make life happen in the way we think it should and instead,
allow what is right and best for us to flow into our reality. True
control comes with surrender but until we achieve that we create an
illusion of control by manipulating energies and being passive
aggressive, disguising our true intentions and approaching others with
a personal agenda. This is something we all do to varying degrees and
must own if we are to consciously be in the energy of surrender.
How are we passive aggressive? When we do something nice for someone,
hoping they will appreciate it and then resent them when they don't.
When we give hints about what we want and then are angry become someone
doesn't take the hint. When we say 'yes' instead of 'no' and are upset
when someone says OK, instead of letting us off the hook. In each of
these situations, we are out of integrity with what we want but are
afraid to tell the truth.
Now as spiritual people we cringe at the thought that we could be out
of integrity and have trouble dealing with our own anger. Being
spiritual does not mean that we will never be angry. But when we are
not honest about our intentions and then become angry with someone
because they are not taking hints or responding to our unspoken desires
in the way we want them to, then we are being passive aggressive,
saying one thing when we really mean something else.
If we are aligned with our intention there is no need for us to use
force or manipulation to manifest what we want because with surrender,
we are in control. When we are clear about our intention we do not need
to be passive aggressive with others because with clarity we are
surrounded by people and situations that respond to our intention,
instead of blocking it. And with clarity we are not afraid to state our
true intentions, owning that the responsibility and power for their
fulfillment lies within us. We do not need to hide our true desires
behind hints, hopes and silence because we believe in our dreams and do
not need anyone's validation or agreement to know that we are worthy of
having them come true. And this is the gift of surrender, the control
that allows us to be in the flow of miracles, manifesting an abundant
and joyful reality.

Being
an ascension leader, a pathfinder and way shower for the new realities
is an amazing responsibility and can be fulfilling, when we know how
that reality will unfold. But we are living in a new paradigm and
eventually we face the truth of what being a pathfinder, light bearer
and way shower really means, that we have to go first. We have to set
the intention for what we want and then put all of the energy behind it
to ensure to keep the momentum going. We look for others to show us the
way but there are no others, we have the gift of being first, the
example that others will follow.
The earthquake in Haiti was an example of how the world is accepting
the responsibility of compassion, acceptance and open-heartedness that
is the foundation of our new paradigm. What if no one had responded to
the crisis? What if they had been abandoned in their time of need? That
could have been a possibility. But instead, the world rushed in to
help, many people left their homes and lives to volunteer, search for
survivors and to provide assistance to people whose lives were in
shambles. And the efforts will extend to building new homes and
creating a new way of life for the Haitian people.
The past decade has been challenging for many of us and we may not have
been left with much to re-create our lives with. Relationships, jobs,
living situations and lifestyles have all changed so much that we have
to start over. The past is gone and we know that those ways of thinking
and being no longer work for us. So we have to create new foundations
for our reality. The beauty of this situation, if we can embrace it, is
that we get to write the guidebook, set the rules and lay the
foundation. They key question is, what do we want, because anything is
possible.
It is part of our human nature to follow someone else's lead, to wait
for someone else to go first and then do what they do. But now there is
no one to do that for us. We get to be the first ones, to be the
example that will show others what to do. Whatever we do is right, we just
need to take those first steps. It will require faith and trust and we
may not know what we are doing but that is OK, we will figure it out as
we go. And as we do, many others will follow our lead into the new
paradigm, glad that someone else went first to show them what to do.

Uriel's Message
-- The Source and Use of Power
You
feel powerful when your life is manifesting in ways that bring you joy
and fulfillment and powerless when it does not. Yet whatever manifests
in your life is an expression of the use of your power, not an example
of the power you have access to. The understanding of the source and
use of your power is a source of confusion and misunderstanding, one
that limits the full expression of your divine presence on earth and
your true expression of power.
The source of your power is infinite, limitless and abundant in every
way. It is available in a continuous flow to you from Source, a steady
stream of energetic potential that responds to your every desire. This
power is the same in everyone, it is complete in its perfection and
does not discriminate. You can think of it as a flow of light that
constantly fills your being to remind you of its constant presence and
availability.
The use of your power is directed by the ego, which is grounded in the
limits of the third dimension and cannot understand limitlessness or
abundance. The ego uses the power it believes is available within the
limits of its consciousness. To fully utilize your power, and create a
powerful, abundant and joyful reality, requires the education of the
ego in the source of your power. It must be constantly reminded of the
continuous energetic flow that you are filled with and this, together
with your intention, allows manifestation of your highest potential.
Your source of power is in your heart chakra or the high heart. The use
of power is found in the third chakra. As you hold power there you feel
it as weight gain and stomach distress. Your ascension allows you to
have the consciousness and intention to move this energy so you are can
use your power from its source and expand the ego's awareness of your
true power. The old earth was created through the ego and the use of
power through the third chakra. The new world will be created through
the heart and the source of power. Be aware of your power, focus on the
heart and allow the light to fill your being and know your source of
power.

As
I speak to many clients who struggle with what to do next in their
lives, we uncover the source of their doubt and confusion that lies
deep within their past. They remember once being motivated, joyful,
having dreams and then these dreams ended. These are the wild Indigo
women, who are now at least forty years old and older, who came to
change many social institutions, like the younger Indigos, and
sacrificed themselves in the process. They can re-capture their wild
Indigo essence through understanding why they suffered so much.
Many of these women had unplanned pregnancies and were shamed into
giving up their children or had abortions they later regretted. Some
followed career paths or made life choices that their families were
opposed to. Others were disowned or rejected by their families. I call
these the 'wild Indigo women' because they were considered as wild,
reckless and irresponsible and they were those things, but not for the
purpose of causing problems. Like today's Indigo generation, they wanted
to create change but in their time, the task was too difficult for many
of them.
It is through their efforts, though, that the issues brought forward by
the Indigo generation in the past ten years have been given attention.
And it is interesting that many of these 'wild women' are the parents
of many Indigo sons and daughters. But instead of shaming and rejecting
them for their behavior, they are supportive because they remember
their own suffering. That is part of the process of finding their
power, by supporting their children who have come to change the world.
The other part is to recapture their wild Indigo woman and use it to
once again create change in the world.
Although I feel the sadness and pain these women have, I also
know that they have not lost their spark. It is just buried under many
layers of shame and guilt, which they did not deserve but have carried
for much of their lives. If this resonates with you, remember that you
had a job to do and you did your best. You did not fail, even if you
were rejected, humiliated or shamed by those who were not ready to
accept the truths you brought to them. Your spark is still alive and it
is time for it to be re-ignited to be shared with a world that is now
ready.
