"Our Sacred Universe"

On friday the 13th we go into a new wave movement of 13 days and this new period is called "White Death" Cimi (Death/Transformation) – surrender, forgiveness, discipline, fortitude, self-actualization, empowers staying in the moment. Every transformation offers us another beginning - another step up the pyramid to our Soul’s True Destiny.
Creation is continually manifesting itself in the ever present now and every 13 days (Trecena) allows for a new cycle of energy to unfold and this in turn holds a specific frequency that influences consciousness and sets the stage for the next 13 days. In a sense we are being given what we need. We are climbing up a ladder or step, it’s all a process of preparation to the next higher step in our evolutionary journey of life.
It can helpful to see where we have come from to shine light on the road ahead. On the 9th of September (9-9-9) we started a new 260 day Tzolkin round... This held the energy of "Red Alligator" and saw a cycle of new phenomena from the collective unconscious coming to the surface... on the 22nd September 'White Jaguar' 13 day cycle started... tuning our inner instincts with the spiritual power of Itz which is a period of high magic - a special energy to change negative aspects...
A spiritual period that opens a portal for all to express the holiness and sanctity of life started on 5th October and ended on 17th October and was called "Blue Deer"... Deer uplifts our spirit to rise above our worldly limitations.
Yellow Sun (Ahau) cycle started on Sunday 18th October (new moon) - enlightenment, remembrance, honor of ancestors, ascension, unconditional love, awareness of co-creation, awareness of new possibilities and new beginnings, awakening to miracles. Sun or Light energy represents source energy that compels us to seek our spiritual path.
On the 31st our collective consciousness went into 13 days of Red Cane/Reed, Guiding light... ambitious, strong, confident, inner power, authority, crusader, champion, journeying in new directions, energy connector between heaven and earth. Reed energy, like a pillar receiving sunlight energy, serves as the connection between heaven and earth. We finished this period yesterday the 12th November.

Trecenas are thirteen-day periods in the 260 day Tzolkin. Each Trecena starts with the Number 1, but with a different Day Glyph. As a wave of the Thirteen Heavens, the underlying energy is governed by the First Day Glyph of the Trecena and influences all thirteen successive Day Glyphs. Being aware of the predominant energy of the First Day of the Trecena, we can align our intentions with that energy and allow our goals to manifest.
To the Maya, Cimi was a lucky day to be born on as it was celebrated as a day of transformation rather than a day of death. In the Popul Vuh, the Hero Twins defeat the Lords of Death in a ball game which takes place in the Underworld. The Twins are ordered by the Lords of Death to perform many tasks. They are tricked by the Lords and lose their lives, only to be reborn by transforming themselves. Thus the Maya celebrated this day as a lucky day of transformation leading to wisdom.
In ancient times, Death was also referred to as the direction North, which symbolized the Ancestors. Seeking wisdom and guidance from the Ancestors was at the heart of Mayan ritual practice. According to Kenneth Johnson in Jaguar Wisdom, “In the day-sign Death, we become one with those who went before us, and we partake of their wisdom. In the human body, Death is associated with the crown chakra, the sacred center through which solar enlightenment and ancestral wisdom may best enter into our own consciousness. Hence, this day-sign bestows upon us the ancestral wisdom that guides us through all our transformations.”
The energy of transformation on all levels, from the physical cellular level to the spiritual co-creative level, propels us to be aware of all possibilities in each moment of creation. We are now ready to exercise a choice: to move into a vibration of listening to our intuition and allowing our ancestral wisdom to guide us, or to stay with old patterns of the ego and the rational mind. If we choose the path of transformation, the old patterns no longer serving us are released and we are filled with light.
Another representation of the Trecena is that of a creative wave beginning at 1 and ending at 13, with the numbers 6, 7 and 8 representing the crest of the wave. The crest could be interpreted as a strong influential energy, although the underlying influence on the Trecena would still rest in the beginning. 18th November - 6 Chuen (Monkey), the creative artisan, the keeper of ancient knowledge; 19th - 7 Eb (Road), the vital energy that moves us forward on the Road of Life; 20th - 8 Ben (Reed), listening to and utilizing our inner power to fulfill our true destiny. This is a powerful time to seek wisdom from the ancients and to allow intuition and the heart to be the guiding force in the transformational journey of life.
As we journey through each day of this Trecena (1 Cimi, 2 Manik, 3 Lamat, 4 Muluc, 5 Oc, 6 Chuen,7 Eb, 8 Ben, 9 Ix, 10 Men, 11 Cib, 12 Caban, 13 Etznab), utilize the energy of Cimi to realign your sense of destiny and to be grateful for all and the ability to see beyond all. Know in your heart that each transformation brings you that much closer to unity.
