I have been receiving email after email for the last several days detailing what the weather is doing in locations where people live. It varies depending on the geographical region. In the US, it has mostly been "wind shears". On the West Coast, they have experienced a 30 degree temperature shift in a matter of hours. In Canada, it has been "record breaking rain". In Europe, it has been dry and unusual highs. In South America, it has be the warmest winter on record. All in all, freakish weather is happening all around the world. (see equation)

This note came from one of our viewers. I wish I would have received this before my Hollywood trip. And her figures are correct. Yes, I knew this when planning my trip, I just didn't want to disrupt my plans. I would rate this 'low' on the foolish scale, but none the less, it reminds me all of us will need to "adjust" in many ways as we journey through the shifts.

Please don't go flying on any of your trips. I am sure you know that the radiation from these flares affect commercial jetliners with a continuous stream of radiation. S-3 storms = the level of 1 chest X-ray, S-4 storms = the level of 10 chest X-rays, and S-5 = the level of 100 chest X-rays. You would be exposed to these levels during the entire flight at 35,000 feet altitude. I just wish to urge you to chose another alternative of travel until these storms subside, 'If' they subside at all. As a result of the flare, solar protons are streaming past Earth. The ongoing radiation storm is so far a moderate S2-class event, which poses no hazard to air travelers or astronauts, but it is intensifying.
