Don Alejandro Oxlaj, who in his native language goes by the name of Wondering Wolf is head of the council of elders of the Maya and in addition head of the Indigenous Council of the Americas which has member tribes from Tierra del Fuego to Alaska. Hence, his meeting with Sri Bhagavan would potentially represent an important step in expanding the outreach of the Oneness movement to Indigenous peoples generally. I am very happy about the sponsoring some of you made to make this meeting possible and want to thank everyone who contributed in making it possible.

February 20th I went to Chennai in India to meet with Don Alejandro Oxlaj. I spent the first two days there talking with Don Alejandro and his wife Elizabeth Araujo and learning among other things about how to make deeper charts based on the Mayan calendar. Then Joseph Giove and Mario Hernandez joined in and we filmed the first interview with Don Alejandro, interpreted from Spanish by Elizabeth in the park of the Theosophical World Headquarters at Adyar under a Bodhi Tree planted from a seed from the one that Buddha supposedly got enlightened under. This interview went very well and Don Alejandro has a very strong presence and feels that he is heard with his message and my own feeling is that it was excellent.

Very interestingly, and positively in my own mind, Don Alejandro rejects the December 21, 2012 date for the ending of the calendar, even though he is not presenting an alternative. After this we pass through Nemam on the way to Golden City, and on the next day Mario filmed another interview with Don Alejandro there maybe with a technically better equipment. This was centred more on Mayan spiritual traditions, rather than the calendar as the first one was, and probably did not go as well in my opinion, but still has significant value. The next day the group went to Nemam for a darshan with Bhagavan where reportedly some 70000 people passed through on this particular day. Don Alejandro, expressed that he saw Sri Bhagavan as an incarnation of the god Shiva that was celebrated on this particular day.

Don Alejandro and Elizabeth also got dikshas at Bhagavan and Amma's huts at the GC. Another day, at sunrise, Don Alejandro led a fire ceremony at the Golden City, with materials that they had partly brought from Guatemala. This ceremony which had all the authenticity and humbleness that only a true indigenous representative can give was also filmed and was much appreciated by the participants. It was a four directions ceremony with prayers associated with the day signs. Later the same day this ceremony was reciprocated at the youth campus at GC where a homa was made for Don Alejandro and Elizabeth. After this Don Alejandro and Elizabeth had a meeting with Sri Bhagavan which was filmed by the Indian video team. According to Pragayanand the meeting was very moving and The Mayan guests were invited to come back to GC and add their knowledge to the curriculum of the Oneness University.

All of these films are about to be edited and will likely have a tremendous documentary values. As surprising as it may seem, nobody has filmed an interview of this kind with Don Alejandro previously where he gets to talk on his own terms so to speak. Although some documentaries have been made where Don Alejandro has been part, it seems he was not happy about them because he had been placed in a context that was misleading. This time he will however not be placed in any other context than the actual interviews and so the interest is likely to be great. The GC TV channel will send some of the material and we will do our best to disseminate it through other channels as well.

Both Sri Bhagavan and the Mayan couple agreed to support the Breakthrough Celebration, which is likely to create an increasing flow towards Oneness in the years ahead. The meetings also by themselves helped strengthen the bridge between cultures and spiritual traditions, which Don Alejandro also expressed.
