The Codex Briefing is Now About
Something Else!
Which Forces Do You Think Have Been At Work?
This is war. I've been saying that and
perhaps some of you thought that I was merely using a figure of speech.
No, there is a war on your health and your health freedom and the adversaries
are very big and very, very rich. They use their power and wealth
ruthlessly. Here's what just happened:
As you know, a Congressional Briefing on Codex was scheduled
for September 20, 2005 following a conversation that Ron Paul and I
had when we were doing the same radio show early this summer.
That briefing was scheduled for September 20 and I asked you to write
to you Congressmen and women to urge them to attend this important informational
event.
Nearly 4000
people responded to my request to Email Congress to attend the Congressional
Briefing! Over 500 Congressional offices have received emails!
You are fantastic.
Politics, however, is a rolling river
which never stays still. Late last night I received an email from
someone I never heard of telling me that the Codex Briefing was no longer
about Codex at all and Jim Turner, President of Citizen's for Health
and I were no longer on the list! Poof! No more Codex Briefing.
Just like that!
Who has been putting pressure on whom? You already
know the answer.
We don't give in quite so easily, however.
Whether you have already written or you were just getting ready to,
I am asking you to email the members of your Congressional Delegation, http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw, and strongly urge them to set up a Congressional
Codex Briefing.
In this war,
every adversity around which there is energy is an opportunity.
Let's use it!
Remember that I told you that a Washington insider told
me that if we can get as few as 100 emails and phone calls to each Member
of Congress urging him/her to attend the Codex Briefing they would go?
Well, we probably need about that number to get them to hold a Briefing,
but we have supporters in every state. We have already begun the
flood of letters telling them we are interested in Codex and that we
are watching to see how they vote. Now we need to let them know
that that we still want a briefing on Codex and it is their job to safeguard
our rights by making that happen.
Congress knows virtually nothing about
Codex although Congress can vote down our legal protections like DSHEA
[1] while opening the door for Codex without ever realizing there was
a connection unless we educate them. That’s what a Congressional Codex
briefing will do. Who knows? Our concerted pressure just
might make it easier and more convenient for the people who pulled this
briefing rug out from under us to put it back beneath our feet.
Politics is like that!
We need to tell Congress that Codex Alimentarius, the
international Food Code, is on its way to preventing Americans from
having access to the vitamins and minerals that many of us believe --
and know -- contribute to their health and well being and to clean,
unadulterated food.
Congress is our main defense against Codex, a threat of
which they have generally never heard! A Codex Briefing will tell them
what Codex is, what it will mean to them and their families and to their
constituents. It will also inform the members of Congress about what
they need to do to protect the US from this looming health disaster.
But I guarantee you that if you do not send these easy emails,

urging your Congressmen and women to hold a Codex Briefing, there will
not be one.
As I said in my last email to you, it is a simple as 1-2-3-4:
- No constituent outcry via your emails
and phone calls = no Briefing.
- No Briefing = no information
about what Codex really is and what it means to the health
of every man, woman and child in the United States.
- No information = no staunch bulwark
of defense against this health and health freedom threat.
- No staunch bulwark = no more health freedoms and precious little health.
Congress is our main defense
against dangerous and deadly Codex regulations becoming our laws here
in the US.
Yet Congress knows nothing about Codex.
Congress, for example, has before it at least 5 bills, http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/bills, which would seriously damage or completely
destroy the rights of Americans to enjoy access to nutrients, supplements
and herbs classified as foods with no upper limits on their use. That
access is assured by DSHEA, the 1994 Dietary Supplements Health and
Education Act, passed by unanimous Congressional consent.
Congress acts to satisfy the loudest voice. The
Bigs (Big Pharma, Big Chema, Big Agribiz, Big Biotechna and Big Medica)
have loud voices because they spend astonishing amounts of money over
and under the table. We have the loudest voice of all because
we send these people to Congress -- or don't!
If we do not raise our collective voices to a roar, the
Bigs will win. And Congress will never even know what hit them!
Most members of Congress have
never heard of Codex!
It's up to you. Here are the steps which you need
to take (and will need to take many times before this war is won, I
am afraid):
- email the members of
your Congressional Delegation
- Call Congressman Ron Paul's office, 202-225-2831,
and leave a message for the Congressman telling him that you urgently
request a Congressional Briefing on Codex.
- Forward
this information to your circle of influence.
In case you can't activate
the link to email Congress, you can type http://tinyurl.com/c5jmw into your browser
window and you will be taken to the correct page.
They know that, like the rest of us, if you violate those
requirements you and your family will sicken and perhaps die. Senators
and Representatives have families that they care about and bodies that
they depend upon.
Until Congress understands, as clearly as you do, that
high potency, effective and clinically meaningful supplements are not
toxins and unadulterated food and drink is essential to a healthy life,
there will be no reason for them to protect anything against Codex,
least of all, their constituents!
Please urge your Congressional Delegation
to sponsor a Codex Briefing!
As I have said before, "It’s a matter
of life and death: yours, mine and theirs."
There are to other things I'd
like you to do in order to build a strong and effective
grass roots health freedom presence:
1. Start a meetup. It’s
simple, it’s easy and it’s a really great political organization tool.
Go to http://healthfreedom.meetup.com. This site lets you tell others in your area
that you are interested in health freedom and lets them find you. You
pick a time, a location (Starbucks is a typical place) and then you
list yourself as the organizer. People will contact you and then, voila,
there’s a meetup when and where you create one.

you with Talking Points, Action Steps, Organizational Tools, etc. Just
let me know you have organized a meetup by writing to me at info@healthfreedomusa.org. What a terrific way to hook up with others
who feel the same way you do!
2. Join the Health Freedom 400.
