Dear Friends,
Before I send out my core article with suggestions as to how we can make use of the energies of the Midlight Meditation, June 1-2 2005 I feel I would like to write a short letter that conveys its essence:

Even if you have learned a lot about the energy shifts of the Mayan calendar and know what they mean you can never make any predictions about the future with certainty. Partly this is because you never know exactly how people are going to chose to use the energies
that this calendar describes.

My suggestion for the climb to the peak of the Galactic Underworld of this year The Midlight Meditation of June 1-2 (13 Ahau and 1 Imix) is that we focus on the theme "End to Dominance" globally. What I mean here is that we use energies to transform on an inner level all relations that are based on dominance to freedom. I feel we need to transform the consciousness that we are all carrying that leads us to project dominance into the external world.
The "End to Dominance" here does not mean "Stop polluting the Earth" "The End to Dominance" means to transform on an inner level the consciousness that makes us seek to dominate the Earth. "The End to Dominance" is not to stop men's violence against women even if that would be a consequence of it. It is about transforming the consciousness that creates dominance in the relations of the external world. It is about the spiritual task of transforming the consciousness that creates all the imbalances that we see the effects of on Earth.
This is a big task. A climb upwards. On my own part I do not know how on an inner level to transform relationships of dominance that have been ruling the world for 5000 years. But the intention and just observing dominance around us would be a major first step. This has never been done before. Many have worked to remedy in the external world all the diverse imbalances in the external world that this consciousness has created, but we have not worked collectively to transform the 5000 year old consciousness that have created them.

This is something that in a very real sense requires the participation of us all. We can not transform consciousness in somebody else and so it is matter of a choice to participate. What is more, as far as I know the tools and the means for this does not really exist at this point and for this the creativity of many will be needed. Of course, this may be done
also in many ways that are fun and joyous and the peak days of June 1-2, may well be preceded by festival gathering the weekend before, but the purpose is very serious.
It means an enormous opportunity for people everywhere to contribute by developing and taking steps away from the consciousness of dominance. To only be able to see that it is one and the same consciousness that creates all the imbalances in the external world would be a major step. All I can say based on my knowledge from the Mayan calendar is that I sense that on the other side of the crest of the Midlight Meditation of June 1-2 there may be a completely
new road opening up leading to a liberation from dominance in a more general sense.
This is why I am making this proposition to all of you.

Don Alejandro Oxlaj, elder of the Quiché-Maya has conveyed to us an ancient prophecy saying: "The time of 12 baktun and 13 Ahau is fast approaching and they shall be here among you to defend Mother Earth". The time Energy of 13 Ahau will rule June 1 of this year and we are faced with a choice as to how we are to make use of it. If we are successful we will open a road to what was prophecized in the Sermon of the Mount : The meek shall inherit the Earth.
