Sacred Economics News; December, 2005
It has been an exciting year for me and I thank all of you
for your participation in this. My
lecturing started in March of this year in Oregon
and Washington and I hope to
lecture in other parts of the country next year. After 8 months of lecturing, I think I have a
final format that I like. There is
a lot of positive conclusion I see, despite the collapsing
national economy. In this note, I
briefly summarize my thoughts on the current year and what’s to come. Plus other good stuff.
The Economy. Frankly, it
is boring to continue to discuss this subject.
Some people ask me where I see the economic decline/collapse. My response is where do you NOT
see it? I just completed reading a book,
“Truth versus Falsehood, How to Tell the Difference” by David R. Hawkins,
MD. He makes a
statement that’s quite accurate and revealing; that
the mind is an unreliable tool to discern
truth. I learned long ago that empirical
evidence to support whatever conclusion one makes is very easy to find. Man is a
justifying being. Man makes
a decision and then finds the evidence to support the
decision. Another take on this is my
college economics professor who stated; “If the facts do not support my
conclusion, then I refuse to accept them.
This statement, I believe, sums up human instinctual nature, in
general.
Stock Markets. Again, I am surprised at the strength of the
markets. The year started with
significant declines (up to 10% +) and has since recovered to modest year to date
gains in the 1-5% range. I continue to
strongly believe that the markets will decline precipitously, and soon. I may be forced to eat these words
again next year, but again, I doubt it. Would you please pass the gravy?
Bonds. The middle of the year began with huge hits
against the bond markets.
Both GM and Ford bonds were downgraded to “junk” status. The instability of these companies has
a huge affect on the markets.
The other bond news is increasing interest rates driving down bond
prices. This will
continue next year. This
and the worsening economy (my opinion, wanna see my stats?)
will continue. Sell low grade bonds
and sell long term bonds.
You’ve already lost enough money.
Gold is now over
$500. In 2000, it was around
$260. It is still a good idea to buy
gold even at this price. However, there
is possibility of a short-term decline.
The contrarian newsletter “The Daily Reckoning” has a
buy target at $450, even though they acknowledge it may never decline to this
point again. Next year, gold will go
much higher. I personally like the
Canadian Maple Leaf. It is 99.99% pure
gold without alloys like the Krugerand or the Eagle so it is much prettier. A local stamp/coin shop sells coins
at spot price plus a $13
fee. Gurudeva (see my website link)
observes that gold has mystical properties.
Feel the wealth when you hold gold in your hand.
The U.S. dollar
rose despite the fears of a decline. It
may rise further but it, as well as other fiat, paper currency is doomed.
Other commodities may undergo a lot of
volatility in the near term but there is no question in my mind that this is
the decade of commodities. Oil
will continue to decline in cost but the longer term is up. And no, “peak oil” is not a fact despite the
fact that empirical evidence of this conclusion exists. There is just as much empirical evidence that
“peak oil” is a myth.
The real estate
bubble appears to have reached its peak.
I’ve warned that value declines of stocks of housing related companies
will herald a peak. This has
already occurred including a big decline in the stock value
of the largest homebuilder in the U.S. My best guess is a
leveling of prices could last perhaps a
year. But it could be a lot less.
Mayan Calendar
On
November 29, 2005, we
entered the fourth night of the Galactic Cycle.
Ruled by Tlaloc, god of rain and war, this phase is the “Expansion
of the New Wave”. Tlaloc’s reign ends
360 days later when the fifth day, ruled by Quetzalcoatl, lord of light, begins
on November 24, 2006.
Carl Calleman author of “The Mayan Calendar and the
Transformation of Consciousness” refers to this time as “bridge-building to
prepare for the expansion of new consciousness”.
Very briefly, the Mayan Calendar is a
timetable of the elevation of consciousness.
Nine major cycles, the first beginning at the big bang and all ending
simultaneously on October 28, 2011, are
identified. Each cycle takes place over
a period of time 1/20th the previous cycle. The current Galactic cycle takes place over a
period of 12.8 years and began January 5,
1999. The Planetary cycle began in 1755
and the National cycle began in 3115BC.
Each cycle contains 7 days and 6 nights
of creation. See www.Calleman.com for further
information.
What happens during the Tlaloc’s rule on the economic front
may be deduced by looking at the 4th night of the Planetary cycle,
1893-1913.
In 1913, the Federal Reserve was instituted and in 1914, the
gold standard was legally established.
The Federal Reserve has been the initiator of inflation through its
money creation powers. The power to
create money is possible because the dollar is no longer connected to the value
of gold, or anything else. This
disconnect occurred in 1971 and it seems quite possible that we’ll see major
discontent with fiat (value by decree) money and a movement toward a gold
standard. This would support my
contention that gold will make a major move upward in 2006. On the
political front global autocratic empires fell between 1913 and 1918 followed
by the Russian revolution in 1917.
Calleman will soon write his thoughts on the 4th
night and I’ll forward this as soon as I
receive it. In overview of Calleman’s
thoughts on the Galactic cycle, we are in a framework of consciousness
evolution transcending materialism.
Return of the Goddess
The Mayan Calendar points us toward a unity
consciousness. The duality consciousness
has been experienced as a domination by
paternal structures and the West. Unity consciousness indicates balance and the
return of the Goddess, the female energy to balance the male.
In Hinduism, it is the female energy, not the
male energy, that represents power and creation. There is no greater force than the female protecting
her young. The Goddess Durga, represents
this energy in its greatest intensity. The Goddess returns to protect her children,
her creations. All beings including
Earth herself is her creation. The
duality consciousness we humans have succumbed to is ending. Fear and greed dissipate as we recognize the
oneness of all creation. The destruction
that our current economic system has wrought must collapse. We can no longer accept the division and duality
of us and them or worse, us versus them.
A leveling of economic resources is occurring.
The Grace of
Lord Ganesha.
In the west, the spirit of Christmas is upon
us. Christ and Christ Consciousness
is Love. Gurudeva observes that “winter
solstice has always been a festive time of
year in all countries, religions and among
Hindus especially, for it is a traditional
season for the worship of Lord Ganesha, the elephant-headed Lord of Culture
and the Arts”.
The modern Hindu festival Pancha Ganapati is
an observation of the consciousness of Love as we ask Lord
Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, that we see only Love. Ganapati is another
name for Genesha.
You don’t have to be Hindu to participate in the observance
of spreading the consciousness of Love to all.
If all you do is meditate on the color of the day, the vibration you
emanate will accomplish much.
December 21, yellow: The family sadhana for the first day of
Pancha Ganapati is to create a vibration of love and harmony among immediate
family members. The day begins early, and the entire family works together to
design and decorate the shrine with traditional symbols, rangoli, lamps
and more. Then a grand puja
is performed invoking the spirit of Pancha Ganapati in the home. The sadhana of
the day now begins. The family sits together for the purpose of easing any
strained relationships that have arisen during the year by making amends one
with another. When forgiveness is offered to all by one and all, they speak of
each other's good qualities and resolve that
in the days ahead they will remember the
futility of trying to change others. Gifts are
then exchanged and placed unopened before
Pancha Ganapati.
December 22, blue: Day two is devoted to creating a vibration
of love and harmony among neighbors, relatives and
close friends and presenting
them with heartfelt gifts. The sadhana of the day is to offer apologies
and clear up any misunderstandings that exist. Relatives
and friends in far-off places are
written to or called, forgiveness is sought, apologies made and tensions
released. Each day, gifts received are placed unopened before Pancha Ganapati.
December 23, red: The sadhana for the third day is to create a
vibration of love and harmony among business associates, the casual merchant
and the public at large. This is the day for presenting gifts to fellow workers
and customers and to honor employers and employees with gifts and appreciation.
The sadhana today is the settling of all debts and disputes.
December 24, green: The sadhana of day four is to draw forth
the vibration of joy and harmony that comes from music, art, drama and the
dance. Family, relatives and friends gather for satsang to share and enjoy
their artistic gifts. Then all sit together before Ganesha, Patron of Arts and
Guardian of Culture, discussing Hindu Dharma and making plans to bring more
cultural refinements into the home.
December 25, orange: The family sadhana for
the final day is to bring forth love and harmony within all three worlds.
Because of sadhanas well performed during the first four days, the family is
now more open and aware of Ganesha's grace, and their love for Him is now
overflowing. On this day the entire family experiences an outpouring of love
and tranquility from the great God Himself. His blessings fill the home and the
hearts of everyone within it, inspiring them anew for the coming year. Jai Ganapati!
Let there be Love!
