2 - SEED (Kan)

Dear friends,

I have returned from Sedona. I spent two days with Matty and we attended a very nice ceremony at a Mago's Ranch outside of Sedona on the first day of the 4th Night. It was a small gathering of Ian’s close friends. Walker the ranch owner and ceremonial leader has a wonderful place located on 5 acres of land in the red rock desert. The ceremony began at dark with a procession from the ranch house down a small hill to a fire ring where we were smudged / blessed then sat around the fire and passed a talking stick. Each person talked about Ian and his effect on our lives. The personal stories were very touching and some quite funny. Ian had a way of making people laugh as well as think!

There was a Native American hoop dancer there who played drums and sang songs, and also a flute / digeriedo player who also played for us. After the fire ceremony, we proceeded to this amazing labyrinth. It was very large and had torches, candles and lanterns around it to light the path way of concentric rings which eventually lead toward a center altar. We all walked the labyrinth to the center and had more prayers and remembering. The sky was clear and stars very bright. Ian’s presence was felt and a message received that he would appear to some of us in our dreams.

After the ceremony, we went back to the ranch house and watched Ian’s very last presentation which was given in Feb 2005. This last talk was actually held at Mago's ranch and Walker had a VHS copy of the talk. I had never seen it and it was so good. Ian went through the Mayan Calendar basic information quickly and focused the talk mostly about what’s next and his new insights which I had not herd. It was like time travel to me. He seemed to be speaking to me (us). I really hope to track down the person who filmed the talk and find out about distributing this information. I know so many of you would love to see it. I was told that this may be a challenge, but I feel that within the Sedona network someone should be able to contact this person.

Matty and I and a man named Brad spent a lot of time together talking about Ian and his legacy. Brad was the person who volunteered to drive Matty and Ian down from Canada to Mexico. This last trip for Ian was epic in the sense they traveled 2,700 miles in 3 days and Brad played a very important role. I was very glad to meet him in person.

We are not quite ready for the next stage of Mayan Majix as we still have to take care of Ian's ashes and final affairs. Eventually, we plan to organize and put our ideas together to keep Ian's work alive and to assure that the integrity of the message is honored. So I will let you know when we get to that stage. I left Sedona with a feeling that the future for Ian's work and Mayan Majix will be bright, especially with the assistance and talents of the Mayan Majix family that we have assembled over these many years.

You will be hearing from Matty shortly, as she has told me that she is writing you all. I will send out an announcement as soon she sends me her message.

Sincerely,

MIKE
